Steve is a fourth generation Texan, who led the charge to revitalize the Fort Worth Stockyards district in 1973 and preserve the area as a symbol of Cowtown’s heritage. He is now fondly referred to as the “unofficial mayor of the Stockyards” and runs his own ranching operation, The West Fork Ranch, in Tarrant County. He is a realtor and developer, businessman, former Fort Worth City Councilman and National Multicultural Western Heritage Hall of Fame and Texas Trail Hall of Fame member.
